Cancel Monday played at our daughters wedding on December 20. In a way, the band is the one thing you have no idea how it will really be…I was worried about pleasing the young and old all at once, and having a full dance floor. I can say, Cancel Monday, was spectacular. No one left the dance floor, and the compliments continue to flow on the band. Everything Jeff said, came true. Thank you to all of you, for giving it your all 5 days before Christmas!!! You were a gift to all of us!!!
I can’t say enough great things about Cancel Monday! We hired them for our New Year’s Eve wedding. Jeff was so great to work with during the planning process, he was always quick to respond. Dave played the piano for our ceremony and it was absolutely beautiful. Monica’s voice is incredible!!! Our dance floor was packed the entire night and my fiancé and I didn’t want the night to end. They play a wide range of music, our guests loved both the current songs and the oldies. I would definitely recommend them to anyone!!
Cancel Monday Band played at our annual Toys 4 Tots fundraiser. They had the dance floor packed. It was a great night.

We had the pleasure of having Cancel Monday play at our wedding reception on August 16 at Sycamore Hills Golf Club!! We couldn’t have asked for a better group of musicians to work with. They are extremely talented, professional, and entertaining! They had the dance floor packed for the entire night! Many of our guests asked for business cards and where they will be playing in the future! Everyone loved it, especially John and I.

Our company had it’s annual meeting this past weekend. We booked Cancel Monday to perform a 4 hour gig during our cocktail and dinner celebration event we throw for all of our employees and spouses/guests. The band was, without a doubt, the hit of the party!
Their diverse set list was amazing as they created the perfect vibe for us the entire evening. Cool jazz, easy listening during the welcome reception & dinner and as the meal winded down they turned it up quite a few notches and rocked it hard to finish out the evening.
This was not your typical, stogy work party. For the last two hours of the event, Cancel Monday had all of us ripping it up on the dance floor along with some employees being called on stage to help with the back-up vocals!
Cancel Monday really knows how to work a room. Super tight, highly professional, and very well rehearsed. Book them for your next event, if you really want to make it special.

We booked Cancel Monday for our wedding reception after hearing them play at a local bar/restaurant. We had previously been to see several other bands in more formal settings. Soon as we heard them though we knew they were to band to go with.
Jeff was great to work with. I asked if they could play strings and keys for the ceremony and Jeff said no problem, he just had to bring in a violin player. I asked if they could do a specific song and again no problem. I asked if they could play during dinner. No problem.
During the reception they were excellent, we are still getting asked who the band was and getting compliments. My six year old niece had one request all night, she wanted to hear call me maybe. Well, they did that and more allowing her to sing along to it. I’m sure it will be something she will remember for years to come.
Cancel Monday was professional, easy to work with, and talented. I can’t recommend them more.
We had Cancel Monday play at our cancer benefit for my best girlfriend’s 8 year old daughter. The band was outstanding and Monica spent a great deal of time with Lauryn, who the benefit was for, letting her and her friends sing. It was so heartwarming there was not a dry eye in the place. She orchestrated a phenominal format for the kids to get involved. The band put on one hell of a show! They were excellent!
We used the band for my son’s wedding reception on September 14, 2013 at Birmingham Country Club . They were outstanding . They have a great music selection and truly energized the crowd . Cancel Monday played our wedding — and they were awesome. High energy, great song list, read the crowd’s tastes perfectly. They segued from cocktail/background music during dinner to fantastic dance music (from 80s classics to top 40 and everything in between). Everyone was dancing, from six year olds to grandparents. And behind-the-scenes, Jeff was incredibly professional and easy to deal with in setting everything up. We highly recommend them.
Cancel Monday made the trip to Charlevoix for my wedding reception and the band was — without question — the life of the party. Not only did the group put on a memorable show, but Jeff Michels and his team were very professional to work with in setting everything up and making sure it ran smoothly. We had such a good time that not only did I have to cancel Monday, but I will probably have to cancel Tuesday as well!
Cancel Monday is awesome! They played at my Wedding reception and impressed every person there. I received many comments about how they had never seen so many people stay until the very end of the party (1am!). The group plays an extremely diverse set of songs and gets and keeps everyone dancing. From Motown to ‘Blurred Lines’ from this Summer, they play everything and sound awesome while at it. They are great to work with – flexible, timely response, and cordial. I would recommend them to everyone who wants an awesome band.
Best band I’ve seen live and I’ve seen a few. Vocals were fantastic. Music was fantastic. Great mix of older classics with brand new music. New Daft Punk, really?…it was a great show!

I cannot say enough about the awesomeness that is Cancel Monday. They came down to Chicago for our September wedding and gave us the best party we could have asked for. From the get go, Jeff was professional, up-front, and made us feel at ease. We were a little nervous booking them since we had never seen them live and wouldn’t until the day of the wedding (only had a few youtube videos and audio tracks to go by), but they were perfect. The group is not only very talented, but is excellent at gauging the crowd and keeping everyone on the dance floor– without sounding like a bad bar mitzvah DJ. We had a “New York style” wedding with music/dancing between courses and Cancel Monday’s energy never lagged. A lot of our friends are accomplished professional musicians themselves and they kept telling us that the band was “legit.” Monica was especially sweet with our younger cousins, who were dying to sing “Rollin’ in the Deep” and “Call Me Maybe”– letting them sing into the microphone for a couple verses in each song. We can’t recommend them enough. These are REAL musicians without attitude. Thanks, guys!

Cancel Monday is terrific!…..best Metro Detroit band I’ve ever seen – Monica’s voice is unbelievable and the group as a whole is incredible.
I saw Cancel Monday last weekend at Cranbrook performing for a friends wedding. Wow this band is awesome, I would highly recommend them for any function. They kept the dance floor packed all night with people begging for more at the end of the night.

June 4, 2011 was the best day of my life…My dad walked me down the isle, my husband and I happily said I do, our family and friends joined together in Old Town where our amazing photographer and his crew took beautiful pictures, the cocktail hour allowed for great food and conversation and then, the sound of Cancel Monday brought the house down for four fantastic hours! One guest said that our wedding weekend was like a vacation they didn’t want to end and our band brought a sound they could listen to for days! You outdid yourselves and we enjoyed every second of it! Andrew and I are forever grateful…Thank you Cancel Monday:-)

Thank you so much for rocking the Fillmore on August 27th, 2011 at Rachel and Andrew’s wedding celebration. The huge dance floor was filled to capacity on every set. All the musicians were incredible and Monica’s strong vocals and magnetic personality drew people closer and closer to the main stage and by the end of the night the crowd practically took over the main stage where everyone was jamming and dancing and mingling WITH the band. It was absolutely electric and Cancel Monday practically played an additional unplanned set because no one wanted the night to end. Once again, thank you so much. All there is left to say is wow. When I first heard I was going to see some type of band with my parents, I guessed it was not going to be my type of music. But when I heard it on your website, I loved your music and the way you play all types of songs. Unfortunatly, when we arrived at the park that Cancel Monday Band was playing at, a hail and rain storm swept through and knocked out the power. You guys weren’t able to perfrom. I was upset but my father said that we can just see the next concert. I’m so excited!
Cancel Monday rocked out Chris and Becca’s wedding this past weekend. I would recommend this band only to those looking for a group of people who are all aces and play a fantastic variety of jams. People from 3 to 83 were on the dance floor loving every second. They were an exceptional part of a wonderful evening!
Thanks to all of you for the fantastic performance at our daughter’s wedding reception on June 11th. From the Jazz Duo playing during the cocktail hour, to the light dinner music, to the “dance ’til you drop” entertainment that followed, you really contributed to the event’s huge success.
